We're thrilled to announce that our Georgia Red Cheese is a finalist in the Flavor of Georgia competition held on March 12, 2013! The competition is for products that are made in the State of Georgia and are judged on flavor, best use of Georgian ingredients, Georgia theme, unique or innovative qualities, commercial appeal and originality. Employee Spotlight: Cutler Bernard

Cutler Bernard joined have the staff a short six months ago as the Manager of Dining and Hospitality at Flat Creek Lodge, but he is already making our guests feel right at home. Cutler says about his position, " It's a 'start-to-finish' guest-oriented position that I really enjoy. I've grown into loving the service industry because no matter what else may be going on in life or work, you have an opportunity to bring joy and make a difference to guests. That means a lot to me."

You may find Cutler gazing out of the back corner of the dining room when the sun is just rising over the tree line - he enjoys the daily awe and majestic quality that entrances him whenever he catches it.

As for the dining room, you'll find Cutler enjoying the Grilled Caesar Salad, with its charred romaine. But his real weakness? The homemade bread crafted by our talented pastry chef!

When away from the Lodge, Cutler loves the outdoors - including everything from hiking, fishing, canoeing, looking for artifacts and geo-caching.

100th Anniverary of Girl Scouting

We were thrilled to be a part of the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting in South Florida at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida! The event, called "girl scouts forever green" was held on February 9, 2013. Flat Creek Lodge was a sponsor of the event and our cheeses were featured. The crowd danced and dined the night away!
